An 18-foot juvenile whale shark was found dying on a cove of Tingloy early Feb 15. Its dorsal and pectoral fins were cleanly cut off and ropes and slashes were found on its tail evident of struggle. Ironically, this came right after the conclusion of the 3rd Convention on Migratory Species for Sharks held in Manila from Feb 8-12. The poor juvenile whale nicknamed Tingloy Baby did not survive the night. :(
